What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is an exercise program composed of the most effective movements and methods from all the various exercise disciplines. By “Cross-Training” in all these different ways we can develop a balance in our physical competence in all of the following fitness domains:

  • Balance
  • Cardio endurance
  • Coordination
  • Flexibility
  • Power
  • Speed
  • Stamina
  • Strength

Why do CrossFit?

Very few people come to the gym with the fitness domains listed above as their reasons for wanting to exercise. Most often people want to lose weight and/or look fit. By training in a manner that maximizes our development across a broad spectrum of physical abilities, we can see the benefits of each. Think of having the lean body of an endurance athlete, the flexibility of a gymnast, and the strength of a weight-lifter.
